										This
year, members of the Lincoln Junior High
										School Student Council participated in
the S.A.N.T.A. program in Logan County.
										"Samaritans and Neighbors Taking Action"
is an organization formed by Michelle
										Hanson when the Lincoln Jaycees
dissolved and were no longer able to
provide an Angel Tree program in the
										community. The S.A.N.T.A. project
										collects from private donors and
										organizations during the holiday season
with the goal of providing gifts to
place under the tree for families in
need. The LJHS Student Council collected
										approximately 75 items including hats,
										gloves, coloring books, toys, games,
										markers, earbuds, crayons and more.
The student council is led by teacher
Leslie Singleton, who noted the kids
wanted to express appreciation to Hanson
for creating the program and allowing
the students to be a part of it this
										year.

						We
need a little Christmas now !

						 In
the second slideshow of a series of three featuring
Christmas decorations around our community, a key
feature of each shot are the beautiful colored lights.
In yesterday’s show we featured classic whites that were
lovely, but it is also nice to see that many of the
folks in our area enjoy going traditional with
multi-colored strands adorning their homes, trees,
						fences and lawns.
