On
Saturday, the Mill on Route 66 Museum hosted David G. Clark, a
well-known Al Capone historian from Chicago. Clark donated items to
the Mill relating to the history of Route 66, Al Capone, and his
connection to Lincoln and Logan County. The collection is now the
foundation of the Mill's new Route 66 Library named after the donor.
On Saturday Clark delivered an hour-long program on the life and
times of Al Capone and outlined Capone's connections with Lincoln
and Logan County through his friendships with such colorful local
characters as Coonhound Johnny and Ernie Edwards.
