On
Tuesday evening, the crowd that gathered for the ribbon cut at Top
Hat Creamery in Lincoln was so large that it could not be contained
behind the ribbon. Those standing behind the ribbon for the cut were
limited to the Mestinsek family - Lisa, Reilly, Lillian, Burke and
Jon, along with their staff - Manager Julie Tanner, Emily Martinez,
Abigal Fitzpatrick and Kenna Erickson. Casey Bennett was unable to
attend.
Lisa spoke on behalf of the family and staff welcoming and thanking
everyone for their outstanding support of the new business. Then
with the countdown she, with help from Reilly and Lillian, snipped
the ribbon.
Guests were all invited inside for free mini ice cream cones. Many
of those in attendance could not help but go for something a little
more significant as the line formed and exceeded the walls of the
building waiting for a cone, shake, sundae or malt.
