On
Monday evening a large crowd gathered to celebrate a new message for
Logan County. "Hate is not welcome here" is displayed in large bold
letters on a sign located in the northeast corner of the Logan
County Fairground along Woodlawn Road.
Less than two hours later, the city of Lincoln council members
passed a resolution to establish a Diversity and Inclusion
Commission. The commission will work with city government to assure
all of the population is served to the best of the council's ability
with no bias for race, gender, age, or any other common
discrimination factors.
