On
Abraham Lincoln's actual birthday, Wednesday, February 12th, the
Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society hosted a Lincoln
Day celebrations at the society center in Lincoln.
Visitors were encouraged to check out the Lincoln Room, where there
is a large selection of Abraham Lincoln collectibles including
busts, plates, photos and much, much more.
While there, guests enjoyed visiting with society volunteers while
munching sweet treats and sipping warm cider.

A
house fire
broke out a few doors west of Ninth and Elm Streets in Lincoln early
Thursday afternoon. Reportedly the house was abandoned. Multiple
fire departments responded and had the fire under control a couple
of hours after it was discovered. LDN will have more information
when it becomes available.
