At
the Tuesday night meeting of the Lincoln City Council, Logan County
Tourism Bureau Director Morgan Gleason explained improvements that
are being made to the Mill on Route 66 Museum and asked for
financial assistance from the city. Lincoln aldermen will vote
Monday night to pay approximately one-half ($15,000) of the $31,000
bill for an outside restoration project. The Mill on 66 Museum was
turned over to the LCTB in February of this year after the Route 66
Heritage Foundation dissolved.
If approved the funding will come from the city's share of the
hotel/motel tax.
