Tuesday,
June 14th was National Flag Day, more commonly called
Flag Day across the country. In Lincoln, American Legion
Post 263 hosts a proper flag retirement ceremony. The
ceremony included a test of whether or not the flag
presented had outlived its usefulness. Once confirmed,
the flag was burned per federal and military
regulations. The legion disposed of several flags in
this proper fashion during the ceremony.
