the pink shirt picture for Lincoln Daily News comes from
the faculty and staff at Lincoln Community High School.
These are the folks who would be first to tell you that
in all you do, "education is key," and it is.
Therefore, if you or a loved one is diagnosed with
breast cancer, take the time to educate yourself on the
disease. Knowing your condition is empowering in many
ways, and it gives you time to absorb what is going on
in private or with your support group and prepares you
for upcoming discussions with your medical team.
Using the internet for research is a viable option, but
be sure to go to trusted websites such as the American
Cancer Society.
