          Local businesses such as
        
        
          Precision Products have donated
        
        
          loads of scrap steel for practice
        
        
          welding. State Farm has donated
        
        
          computers.  The program
        
        
          has also received anhydrous
        
        
          and propane tanks from local
        
        
          businesses that Musselman
        
        
          carefully airs and cleans out for
        
        
          the students to transform into
        
        
          large grills and smokers.
        
        
          In metals I and II, practical,
        
        
          functional and creativity are
        
        
          taught as students produce a
        
        
          project of their own choosing.
        
        
          Some of these projects have
        
        
          won high honors in regional
        
        
          competitions. Recent projects
        
        
          include a large cattle feeder, cut
        
        
          out signage suitable for business
        
        
          use, burnished ornamental
        
        
          standup chicken home decor,
        
        
          decorative metal end table stands
