Blaster worm attacking
computers

[AUG. 13, 2003]  A new Internet-spread attack on computers began on Monday. A worm is infecting and disabling computers nationwide. This latest destructor is not a virus.

If you have Windows 95, 98 or ME, you are not going to have a problem. All other Window programs need to be updated. In essence, it is a security breach where the worm enters a hole in the Windows XP computer operating system.

With Internet access, you can update your Windows by going to the start bar, programs and click on "Windows Update." This takes you to the Microsoft website for an update that you can download to your computer.

The connection to the website may be slow while many users are accessing the update.
