Jamie Duise and David Gifford, vice
presidents from the Trust Department at Union Planters Bank of
Decatur, delivered the $900,000 gift to LCCS President Keith Ray at
a faculty and staff brunch on Friday, Oct. 3. "This is the largest
single gift ever received by the college in its 60-year history,"
said President Ray. "Humbly the Reinhardts' lives and legacies
have passed before us."
The Reinhardts left not only a
monumental gift to Lincoln Christian College and Seminary but also
gifts to 45 other charitable institutions, some of which are in the
Logan County area: Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Salvation
Army, First Christian Church, St. John United Church of Christ,
Christian Nursing Home and Elks Crippled Children's Trust.
