DETAILS: Trivia teams will play 10 rounds of 10 questions each. You do not need a full table of players to attend. Cost per person includes appetizers and a soft drink. Proceeds will help fund the Lincoln Junior Woman's Club Movie in the Park. The movie "Cars" will be shown on a giant inflatable screen at Postville Park on Sept. 10 and will be free to the public. The club is also seeking corporate sponsorships for the Movie in the Park, and anyone interested in donating is encouraged to contact the club for more information. Glass recycling collection
SPONSORS: Logan County Joint Solid Waste Agency, Lincoln Junior Woman's Club, Verallia Saint-Gobain Containers and the Logan County Fair Association
WHO: Open to the public
DETAILS: Accepting only container glass that originally contained either a food or beverage product. Clear glass as well as amber, green and blue will be accepted. Unacceptable items include ceramic pieces, dishware, light bulbs, fluorescent lights, window glass and mirrors. For safety reasons, no broken glass will be accepted.
Glass preparation: Rinse containers thoroughly. Remove any metal or plastic lids and rings from the container. Labels may be left on containers.
The agency reserves the right to refuse any glass not meeting preparation or recycling guidelines. Glass will be accepted only on designated collection dates. The Logan County Joint Solid Waste Agency does not accept glass at any of its recycling sites.
Collection will be canceled in case of inclement weather or excessive heat.
