Left to right are Dennis Shull, Tom Seggelke, Dean Kukuck and George Henrichsmeyer. A 30-year tradition since the beginnings of the Harvest of Talents, large vats of vegetable beef soup are cooked over a sweet wood fire just outside the back doors to the Lincoln Christian Church Fellowship Center. The Baseball Soup is a home run that has been tweaked over the years. The recipe is that of George Henrichsmeyer's mother and is now prepared and served for the Harvest by the fourth generation in the Henrichsmeyer family. The total dollars raised this year came to $101,068.15. This brought the 30-year total of funds raised for world hunger to $1,819,213.38.
