Castle Manor

Friendship Manor

St. Clara's Manor

Today, we are featuring three great facilities in Lincoln in our "Show us your pink" pictures. Castle Manor, Friendship Manor, and St. Clara's Manor. Castle and St. Clara's are sister facilities under a common corporate ownership.  All three facilities carry one common word in their names, and all three share the common goal of enhancing the quality of life for their residents.

Having things in common is a great thing, and for cancer patients, having an opportunity to spend time with people who understand through their own experiences the ups and downs of fighting this disease can be very helpful. Are you aware there is a Breast Cancer Support Group in Logan County? The group meets monthly with the next meeting being Tuesday, November 21st at 6 p.m. at Whiskers, at the Elks Country Club in Lincoln. For more information about the group, call Deb Hoover at 217-828-0275 or Kathleen Brumbaugh at 217-732-9325.

Show us YOUR pink!

On Halloween Day, residents at Friendship Manor enjoyed competing in the annual Halloween Costume Contest. The costumes this year were outstanding, and choosing the top three was a struggle for Judges Karen Hargis and Roy Logan of Lincoln Daily News. They finally settled on three terrific entries. First place went to Dorothy Hunter (Snow White), second to Kim Jackson (Scarecrow) and third went to Carol McLain (Witch).
