LDN -- Top Stories

Our "Show us your pink" photos today come from Enterprise Car Rental, and World Finance in Lincoln. When people hear the word cancer associated with any part of their anatomy, they sometimes feel that this means they are driving on borrowed time. But thanks to the dedicated research of scientists and doctors all over the world, survival is much more likely today than it was even a generation ago. Organizations such as the American Cancer Society help fund that research, as well as providing vital services to people living with cancer as they fight the battle of their lives. Each year the Logan County Relay for Life works to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. We encourage you to support our local Relay fundraisers, remembering that even the smallest donation can make a huge difference in the lives of many.

Shoppers check out a wide variety of fall produce from Odehelr Farms at the ALMH Fall Market event on Saturday evening. Guests enjoyed a wide variety of offerings from vendors plus many Fall and Halloween activities such as a hayrack ride, bonfire, and a Halloween Costume Contest. The ALMH Market is planning one more large event this year. The Holiday Market event will be held on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, on November 21st, at the Lincoln Park District.

ALMH Market brings fall foods and traditions together - slideshow

We recently heard reports that readers have trouble getting our slideshows to start. LDN contacted the company that provides the software for the slideshows, and it was discovered there is a small glitch in the most recent upgrade. All are working together to get the glitch fixed. In the meantime, if you click on the slideshows and the black screen comes up and stops, use your F5 (refresh) key to get it started.
