Today's "Show us your pink" photo features staff from the Culver's Restaurant in Lincoln. The group includes Tonita Reifsteck, who has for many years been a strong advocate for awareness of all types of cancer and is a tireless worker for the Logan County Relay for Life.

Tonita along with the Culver’s staff have seen the impact breast cancer, as well as other cancers, have on friends and family. As Tonita often says, all cancer patients want is "One more birthday."

By raising awareness about the disease and early detection, may many be given that wonderful gift.

Saturday morning could have been a dictionary definition of a perfect fall day with cooler temperatures, breezes and lots of sunshine. It was also a perfect day for the Creekside Fall Festival. The festival began with a special dedication service honoring Lincoln artists Moses Pinkerton and Jason Hoffman with a special unveiling of an engraved stone at the feet of Pinkerton's sculpture "Nature's Embrace."

The Logan County Department of Public Health will be closed today, Monday, October 23rd due to a water line break resulting in no running water at the facility.
