American Family Insurance

Debbie's Downtown Floral

Rusty Rail Pub

Security Finance

For today's Pink shirt selections, we're doing a "Ladies Day." All four photos feature ladies only who are standing strong for their sisters who are battling breast cancer. We want to draw your attention to the black bags with pink ribbons. This month you can drop by the American Family Insurance office and pick up one of these bags for a donation. They are filled with cool things to show you support the push to raise awareness in Logan County. Thanks to the beautiful women of all four businesses - American Family, Debbie's Downtown Floral, Rusty Rail Pub, and Security Finance for donning the pink in the month of October.

The August winner of the downtown window display contest in Lincoln was Eileen Mullins and Sir Renna Tea. Because the Balloons over Route 66 was held at the end of August, Eileen took the theme literally. She lined the floor of her front window with Route 66 soda bottles, then hung a colorful selection of mini hot air balloons hanging over the bottles. Eileen noted that when the display was put together, she knows her front window gets pretty warm in the morning hours. So, the soda bottles were used were filled with water. She laughed and said, and she didn't want it to be exploding Balloons over Route 66. The traveling plaque was presented to Mullins by Michelle Bauer, who sponsors the monthly contest. Bauer assists with the cost of the plaque and also provides a $10 gift card for one lucky shopper from Sir Renna Tea who voted for the window.
