quarterly meeting at the Logan County Safety Complex recently.

Oasis update
 The
Oasis, Logan County’s senior citizen center, at 501 Pulaski St. in
Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The center also is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games.
Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to
all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership.
Flea
market thanks, thanks, thanks
The Oasis staff and board of directors
really appreciate all the efforts expended on behalf of the
organization by all who volunteered time, baked goods,
"collectibles" and support for the flea market. These volunteers
make it possible to continue providing services for the seniors of
Logan County.
Crochet
club and loom group
A reminder to all participants: The
crochet group meets on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and the loom group on
Fridays at 10.
Day trips
– seats available
 Several seats are available for the
Sept. 9 trip to Prairie Gardens Market Place, Champaign, for a day
of shopping. The cost for transportation is $12, and the meal is on
your own. Departure time from Lincoln is 9 a.m. Call 732-6132 before
Sept. 2 for a reservation.
Games and
winners
For games Tuesday and Friday, the
weekday pinochle winner was Helen Cart. Esther Will won pinochle
honors Friday night, and Louise Wiebers was the 5-in-1 winner. The
rummy winner on Sunday night was Betty Burger.
