        Oasis update 
        The
            Oasis, Logan County’s senior citizen center, at 501 Pulaski St. in
            Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
            The center also is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games.
            Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to 
            all Logan County senior citizens, 
        regardless of membership.

            Wednesday, July 24, at 9 a.m. the 
            special guest speaker will be Rich Davis. His topic is "Health 
            Issues for Seniors." No reservation needed. Coffee 
            cans and buttons 
            The craft group at The Oasis is looking 
            for donations of large, empty coffee cans and a size assortment of 
            buttons for a variety of craft projects. If you have questions or 
            would like to participate in making the crafts, call for details or 
            just bring in your donations. Games and 
            winners 
            The game winners last weekend were Helen Opperman for pinochle, Louise Wiebers and Tom 
            Garrison for 5 in 1, and Harley Heath for pool. On Sunday, Alice 
            Thornton won pool honors. The daytime pinochle winners were Madeline 
            Moore on Friday and Jean Cypher on Tuesday.
