Lincoln Christian defeats Crown
at Midwest Tip-off

-- The LCC men's basketball team won their first game at the NCCAA Midwest
Regional Tip-off tourney, defeating Crown College 81-72. The
Preachers shot a hot 52 percent from the field in the first half and
took a three-point lead into the break. In the second half, the
Preacher defense took over and stifled the Crown offense, allowing
them to shoot only 32 percent from the field.

"Our starters really stepped up and
made things happen today," commented LCC coach Searby. "Our bench
personnel were making key runs in the game for us. It was really an
exciting win."
Brian Dunaway led the team in scoring with 22 points on eight-of-17
field goal shooting. He also tallied eight rebounds, six assists and
six steals. Tim Schultz and Caleb Edson notched 16 and 15 points,
respectively. Post Travis Chase scored 13 points and garnered eight
boards, five assists and three steals.
LCC moves their record to 6-2. They
play Friday at 5 p.m. versus Moody Bible Institute.
