            The Oasis, Logan 
            County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open 
            weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also 
            open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is 
            the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County 
            senior citizens, regardless of membership.

             Tuesday 
            lunch program 
            
            
            Noon on Nov. 3 is the deadline to 
            purchase your ticket for the Nov. 4 lunch of stuffed peppers, mashed 
            potatoes, gravy, salad, bread and butter. The lunch is $3.50 and is 
            served at 11:30 a.m. 
            
      
        
            
            Hearing 
            screening 
            
            
            Call 732-6132 for an appointment to 
            have your hearing checked between 10 a.m. and noon on Wednesday, 
            Nov. 5. This no-fee service is available the first Wednesday of each 
            month. 
            
            Loom 
            
            
            The loom group has reorganized and is 
            ready to train new volunteers and take orders for rugs, table 
            runners and placemats. If you would like to volunteer, please stop 
            in between 10 a.m. and noon on Wednesday or Friday.

            Van trips 
            
            
            Seats are available for the Nov. 8 trip 
            to the Feathered Nest Arts & Crafts Mall in Springfield. A fee of $7 
            for members and $9 for nonmembers covers the transportation. 
            Deadline for paid reservations is Nov. 5. 
            
            Travel to Taylorville -- Nashville 
            North -- on Nov. 15 to hear Ray Price. A payment of $31 for members 
            and $34 for nonmembers includes ticket and transportation. Deadline 
            for paid reservations is Nov. 7.
