LINCOLN -- Weymuth N. Mason, 81, of Lincoln, died Tuesday,
Jan. 4, 2005, at 6:33 a.m. at Meadows Mennonite Home in
Chenoa.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bennett Funeral
Home in Lincoln, with visitation one hour prior to the
service. Tom Gerdts of Lincoln Christian Church will officiate
at the service.
Burial will be in the Atlanta Ladies Cemetery.
Miss Weymuth began working at the Lincoln Bible Institute,
now Lincoln Christian College and Seminary, in September of
1946 as the first full-time secretary to the presidents. She
retired June 30, 1990.
She was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Lincoln to Lloyd and Cleta
Smith Mason.
Survivors include a sister, Olive Mason of Chenoa, several
cousins and dear friends.
Miss Weymuth was baptized at Atlanta Christian Church on
Nov. 1, 1936, and was an active member there, serving as a
Bible school teacher and in the Direct Support Missionary
Society. When she moved to Lincoln, she became a member of
Lincoln Christian Church and remained an active member as long
as her health permitted.
She graduated from Atlanta Community High School in 1943.
She earned an executive secretarial diploma from Brown's
Business College in Springfield in 1952 and a certified
professional secretary certificate in 1954, an honor of which
she was extremely proud.
She enjoyed classical music and played the clarinet at one
point in her life. She had an avid love for football, the
Kentucky Derby and travel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
Lincoln Christian College and Seminary and will be accepted at
the funeral home.

MOUNT PULASKI -- Frank O.
Volle, 77, of Darien, Conn., died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at 4
a.m. at Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich, Conn.
A funeral service at Lawrence
Funeral Home in Darien, Conn., was on Tuesday.
A local service was on Friday
morning at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Carol Andricks officiating.
Visitation preceded the service.
Burial is in Mount
Pulaski Cemetery.
Mr. Volle was an assistant
professor at the University of Colorado Medical School and
chief psychologist at the Denver Mental Health Center. Later
he moved to Bloomington, where he was associate professor at
Illinois State University and neuropsychologist for the
Mennonite Health Care System.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force
sergeant with Headquarter Squadron 141st Army Airway
Communications System in Manila, Philippines, in 1946.
He was born Nov. 16, 1927, at Mount Pulaski to George Adam
and Iva Florence Newburn Volle.
He is survived by his wife,
Joan Lohnes Volle of Darien, Conn.; one daughter, Susan Volle
of Englewood, Colo.; two brothers, Dan Volle and Paul Volle,
both of Mount Pulaski; and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
He was preceded in death by
his parents.
He was affiliated with St. John Church of Darien, Conn.
He graduated from Mount Pulaski High School and the
University of Illinois and received his Ph.D. from in
neuropsychology from the University of Denver.
He was an avid fan of classical music.

American Cancer Society.
