MINIER -- David D. "Knobby" Knobeloch, 65, of Minier died
Friday, March 10, 2006, at 12:40 a.m. at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Armington
Christian Church. The Rev. Andy Johnson, the Rev. Chuck Webb
and the Rev. Ed Loyd will officiate. Visitation will be at
the church from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the
service on Monday.
Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, handled arrangements.
Mr. Knobeloch was employed by the Illinois Department of
Transportation for 33 years. He retired in 2001.
He was born June 16, 1940, in Minier to William H. and
Louella Sparling Bratcher. He was raised by his mother and
his stepfather, Glen Knobeloch. He married Eileen Brandt.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sandy Phelps
of Bloomington and Cindy (and Dave) Peek of Stanford; five
grandchildren, Ashley and Lacy Phelps and Jessica, Katie and
Taylor Peek; four sisters, Glenna (and Irv) McCauley of
Armington, Donita (and Rick) Grimsley of Lexington, ReNea
(and Jim) Cato of Mackinaw and Jody (and Terry) Branham of
Lincoln City, Ore; and a sister-in-law, Pat Bratcher of
Louisville, Ky. He considered his wife's family as his own.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and
brother, Billy Gene Bratcher.
He was a member of the Armington Christian Church.
He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan. He dearly loved
baseball and pitched in the Corn Valley Conference several
years. He enjoyed attending any sport function that his
grandchildren participated in.
He loved his family, his wife's family and their many
friends. He and his friends enjoyed many good times while
sitting at the Fireside Cafe in Minier having coffee.
The Knobelochs thank everyone for all the help and
kindness given to them since his onset of Lou Gehrig's
disease.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minier
Rescue Squad, Armington Rescue Squad or the elevator fund at
Armington Christian Church.
Beatrice Cameron

LINCOLN -- Beatrice M. Cameron, 95, formerly of Oak Ridge,
Tenn., died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 8:56 p.m. at St.
Clara's Manor.
Her body will be cremated. Family services will be in Oak
Ridge, Tenn., at a later time, with burial in Oak Ridge
Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
Mrs. Cameron was a secretary at Lockheed Martin Energy in
Tennessee.
She was born Aug. 31, 1910, at Garrett to David and Olive
Reeder Martin. She married Walter Cameron, and he preceded
her in death.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, David
"Pat" Martin, and one sister, Marjorie Mills.
She is survived by nieces and nephews David and Sandra
Mills of East Peoria, Susan and Jeff Fults of Lincoln, John
and Nancy Mills of Springfield, and Elizabeth Keefe of
Lincoln.

Rhoda Mueller

MOUNT PULASKI -- Rhoda Mae Mueller, 76, of Mount Pulaski
died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 8:55 a.m. at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Graveside memorial services for her and her husband,
Richard Mueller, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Pulaski
Cemetery. Military rites will also be conducted for Mr.
Mueller.
There will be no visitation
Arrangements are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.
Mrs. Mueller was a homemaker.
She was born Aug. 15, 1929, at Mount Pulaski to Jasper A.
and Mary A. Ryan Veech. She married Charles Richard Mueller
in Mount Pulaski on Aug. 15, 1947. He died Dec. 14, 2005.
She is survived by three daughters, Christina LaVonne
(and Donald) Baack of Arlington, Texas, Cynthia Elaine Tibbs
of Sumerduck, Va., and Ricky Lorraine (and James) Atkins of
Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Emagene P. Green of Mount
Pulaski; two brothers, Merle W. (and Priscilla) Veech of
Arizona and Delmar (and Harlean) Veech of Cornland; six
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

LINCOLN -- Joseph V. Hickey Sr., 85, formerly of Mason
City, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 6:50 a.m. at St.
Clara's Manor.
Visitation was Saturday morning at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A graveside
service followed at Zion Cemetery, with the
Rev. Curt McCallister officiating.
Mr. Hickey was retired from farming in Chester Township.
He was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Lincoln to Joseph V. and
Alice T. Fitzsimmons Hickey. He married Hazel E. Leedate on
April 21, 1940, in Bowling Green, Mo. She died Nov. 26,
2005.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph V. (and Kay) Hickey
Jr. of Cornland and Robert James (and Ann) Hickey of
Lincoln; five daughters, Sandra K. (and Robert) Meador of
Lincoln, Loretta Ann (and Truett) Minor of Bessemer, Ala.,
Virginia L. Chere of Lincoln, Nancy Jo (and Roger) Sutton of
Lincoln and Rebecca S. Osborne of Lincoln; one brother,
Edward Hickey of Mount Pulaski; one sister, Mary Ellen
Thornton of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; and 21
great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith,
and one brother, Thomas Hickey.
Memorials may be made to Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.

EMDEN -- Gertrude Louise Rademaker, 94, died
Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at 7:27 p.m. at her son's home in
Riverview, Fla.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter
Lutheran Church in Emden, with the Rev. David L. Hofer and
the Rev. Frank Pieper co-officiating. Visitation will be
from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to
the service on Tuesday.
Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
Mrs. Rademaker was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Hartsburg to Garbrand and
Anna Wibben Lessen. She married John J. Rademaker on Jan. 6,
1931, in Hartsburg. He died May 20, 1999.
She is survived by one daughter, Hazel Alberts of Lincoln; one son, Gary (and Nancy) Rademaker of
Riverview, Fla.; six grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, one
sister and a son-in-law, Jerry Alberts.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Emden
and the Ladies Aid of the church.
Memorials may be made to her church or to LifePath
Hospice.

 Philip Kohler

LINCOLN -- Philip S. Kohler, 90, of Lincoln died
Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 11:24 a.m. at St. John's
Hospital in Springfield.
A graveside service and military rites will be at 1 p.m.
Saturday, March 11, at New Union Cemetery.
There is no visitation.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
Mr. Kohler worked in maintenance at Cutler-Hammer for 17
years.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945.
He was born Dec. 31, 1915, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Philip
and Agnes Marie Metcalf Kohler. He married Bernice Spurling
in 1954 in St. Joseph, Mo. She died in 2000.
He was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Dorothy
Krotz.
He is survived by a niece, Donna Wright of Lincoln.
He was a Catholic.
