While the weather outside is less than delightful, players inside the Knights of Columbus have fun with a bag toss tournament. The tournament is held the day after Christmas and brings tossers from as far away as Taylorville.

In this photo taken Dec. 17, author Louise Borden poses behind the window display at the Margret and H.A. Rey Center in Waterville Valley, N.H. The Reys were the authors of many Curious George children's books in the 1940s. Borden has written her own children's book about the Reys, both Jews, who escaped France in the summer of 1940. They came to the United States and later built a summer home in Waterville Valley.
