It
takes a great deal of effort and dedication to pull
off an event as large as the Annual Boy Scout BBQ in
Lincoln. The event will be held this Sunday, but
work began on Thursday preparing the tasty smoked
meat that will be served to over a thousand hungry
customers. Thursday evening there was a rubbing
party at the Lincoln IGA as scouts and volunteers
prepared the pork for smoking. On Friday night,
throughout the night, the delicious aroma of smoked
pork testified to the hard working smokers and the
people manning them all night long. This evening a
crew will gather to "pull the pork" and get it ready
for serving tomorrow. The annual event will be held
at the Lincoln Knights of Columbus from 10:30 a.m.
to 2 p.m. For the complete menu, check out this
advertisement in Lincoln Daily News.
