People's
Choice voting began Monday night in Mount Pulaski for the fifteen
entries in the Hilltop Club Christmas Lights Contest. The entries
are beautiful from the sidewalk to the rooftop and easy to find with
the map provided by the Hilltop Club.
 |
There are twelve homes and three businesses participating this year.
The categories for judging include Most traditional, Best use of
inflatables, Best use of technology, The Show Stopper and Best
commercial display.
Lincoln Daily News is offering a peak of all there is to see in
Mount Pulaski. Though the pictures are pretty good, nothing beats
seeing it in person. Contest voting will continue through December
23rd, so take a drive and see which ones you like best.
Many decorated homes in town did not enter the contest but certainly
would have been contenders. So take it all in and enjoy! |

Good
news, Logan County! After being closed for the last few weeks the
popular downtown Lincoln resale shop Pink Shutter has now reopened.
The store opened for business again on Monday, and manager Jennifer
Heidbreder and the all-volunteer staff is anxious to see all the
regular shoppers return to the store soon.
The store offers something for everyone, from clothing to housewares
to jewelry and even things for the kiddos. And generally, this time
of year if you need to pick up some new Christmas decor for cheap,
the Pink Shutter is hard to beat.
The store is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. Be sure to stop in, tell the staff welcome back, and
take advantage of some of their amazing deals!
