Crystal Lippert, BSN, RN, with Acute Care at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Year.

Lippert stays diligent and focused on any changes in her patients to determine immediately what’s going on and what they require. She advocates for her patients so they receive the best care available.

“The most rewarding part of my job is knowing I make a difference in the lives of my patients, whether it be mentally, physically or both,” she said. She plans to further her education and become a family nurse practitioner.

“Crystal always goes above and beyond for her patients and fellow colleagues,” wrote her nominator. “She is a fabulous asset to the Acute Care team, and we could not do it without her.”

Lippert has worked for Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2019.

The colleague of the year is selected from nine individuals previously named colleague of the month from January through November of the year. Lippert was the April LMH Colleague of the Month.

Zeke Wakeman of Mt. Pulaski wrapped up his last year of rodeo competition in the junior high level by winning ninth place in a world-wide rodeo competition this past summer. Zeke competed against a large number of youth from all around the world.

With the end of last school year, Zeke graduated from junior high and consequently he is moving up to high school competitions in the rodeo world.

We all look forward to hearing many more good news stories from Zeke and his Mt. Pulaski friends who also compete in rodeo.
