BREAKING NEWS
On Friday
morning Senator Sally Turner (far left) and
Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch (far right) announced
that Governor JB Pritzker is proposing a large
sum of money for the demolition of abandoned
state-owned properties and that Lincoln
Developmental Center is on the short list of
projects.
The demolition will make the properties
“shovel-ready” for economic development, opening
the door for new business, industry, and/or
housing for the Lincoln community.
Lincoln Daily News will have full details from
the press conference in its Saturday edition.

When you walk into
Culver’s in Lincoln, you might notice a board that
says pay-it-forward. With the pay-it-forward
program, people can pay for a meal in advance. Then
when people in need come in, they can take one of
the receipts off the board to the counter and order
a meal.
The sign tells people
to speak to a Culver’s team member if the board is
empty so they don’t leave hungry.
Anyone who wants to
buy a meal to put on the board should speak to an
employee.
