[DEC. 5, 2003]  DUNBAR, Wis. -- The LCC men's basketball team won their first game at the NCCAA Midwest Regional Tip-off tourney, defeating Crown College 81-72. The Preachers shot a hot 52 percent from the field in the first half and took a three-point lead into the break. In the second half, the Preacher defense took over and stifled the Crown offense, allowing them to shoot only 32 percent from the field.

"Our starters really stepped up and made things happen today," commented LCC coach Searby. "Our bench personnel were making key runs in the game for us. It was really an exciting win."
