Monday
evening at the meeting of the Lincoln
City Council, aldermen approved an
agreement with Area Disposal to continue
providing recycling bins on North
Kickapoo Street across from Latham Park
through the end of the year. The Logan
County Joint Solid Waste Agency had
notified the city that the bins would be
removed effective immediately after the
city approved a recycling contract with
Area. However, that contract does not
take effect until January 1st, 2018. The
monthly fee paid to Area will be
$2,583.33, about half of the monthly
support previously being paid to LCJSW.
