County Local Emergency Planning Committee, the LEPC, held its spring
quarterly meeting at the Logan County Safety Complex recently.
Yearly elections for all offices, voting delegates, committees and

Oasis update
 The
Oasis, Logan County’s senior citizen center, at 501 Pulaski St. in
Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The center also is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games.
Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to
all Logan County senior citizens,
regardless of membership.
Bingo at
The Oasis and Illinois State Fair
The regular potluck luncheon starts at
11:30 a.m. Thursday. Please bring a dish to pass. Bingo, sponsored
by The Oasis, will follow at 1 p.m.

10-17 at the Illinois State Fair. Games managed by The Oasis start
at 11 a.m. daily on the mezzanine level of the Illinois Building
Art and
balloon fest flea market
 The Oasis is accepting donations of
gently used flea market items (no clothes) to be sold in their tent
at Scully Park Aug. 24-25. Please bring your donations to 501
Pulaski St.
Weekend
games and winners
The winners of this past weekend’s
games were Henry Warnisher for pinochle, Tom Garrison and Betty
Burger for 5-in-1, and Harley Heath and Alice Thornton in a tie for
pool honors. The rummy winners Sunday night were Ann Greger, Judy
Morrow and Betty Burger. Weekday game winners were Jean Cypher,
Linda Hughes and Henry Warnisher.
