On Monday, an auction was held at the Lincoln Depot, clearing out all the personal property and fixtures inside the former restaurant. According to Mayor Keith Snyder, the disposal of the personal property brings the city one step closer to taking over the building. Snyder said last week the owners will sign the property over to the city shortly after this sale. He also mentioned the Monticello Train Museum is interested in one of the Pullman cars that will be disposed of by the city.

Sunday afternoon a fast tracking storm passed through Logan County dropping a little bit of rain around about. Local Weather enthusiast Devin Biggs was out following the storm. When he reached the Maple Club on the east side of Lincoln, he pulled in and grabbed a quick shot of this low-arcing rainbow. Devin’s picture made it to LDN, but it also made it to one of the Springfield televisions shows and was featured on an early morning weather segment Monday.
