Pictured above from left to right, a 2011 Olympics $5.00 gold commemorative, a 3-D Baseball Hall of Fame Limited edition gold commemorative, and an 1832 Liberty silver dollar. These are just three of the thousands of coins and commemoratives that were on display Saturday at the Railsplitter Coin Club coin show. The show brought in coin collectors and dealers from Lincoln, Bloomington and Springfield.

On Saturday afternoon while some were enjoying a barbeque lunch in the Fellowship Hall at Open Arms Christian Fellowship, others were gathering in the Worship area, preparing for an auction. The occasion was the first ever OACF fundraiser to benefit the local Royal Rangers chapter. Royal Rangers is a boy’s organization, founded in the early 1960s as a faith-based club.

“Royal Rangers is a mentoring program for future men. The goal is to provide Christlike character formation and servant leadership development for boys and young men in a highly relational and fun environment. The mission is to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders.” -- http://royalrangers.com/aboutus/mission/
