On Wednesday evening, city of Lincoln Ward 3 Alderman Tom O'Donohue (center) announced he will be resigning from the Lincoln City Council effective December 15th. He said that because he has been elected as a member of the board of directors of the new and yet to be named Unified Organization, he felt being an alderman would be a conflict of interest. The new board of directors for the Unified Organization is expected to take office in January.

During the National 4-H Week celebration recently held in October, local 4-H clubs were challenged to gather enough canned goods and items to create a structure to promote 4-H and hunger awareness in their communities. Participants in the CANstruction challenge included The Pioneers 4-H Club, who were awarded first place in the challenge; Wide-A-Wake 4-H Club, who received second place, and Hollanders 4-H Club with the third place structure.

Jessica Davison of Beason has been named the November Employee of the Month at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Davison has worked as a Materials Management Technician at ALMH for four years.
