On
Monday afternoon, Abraham Lincoln arrived home in
Lincoln where he took up permanent residence on the
lawn of the Logan County Courthouse. The
true-to-life bronze statue was delivered by the
artist and within an hour was anchored in its new
location on the southwest corner of the lawn.
Members of the statue committee were on hand to
celebrate and be the first to have their photo taken
with the new statue. LDN will have complete photo
coverage of this historic event in the Wednesday
edition.
