Though
there has been a lot of hustle and bustle, and
several 4-H competitions in the exhibition barns at
the Logan County Fair since the weekend, in
tradition, the official ribbon cut and the start of
the fair happened early on Tuesday morning. The
Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Chamber
Ambassadors joined with officials from the Logan
County Fair Board and guests from the city to snip
the ribbon at the West Gate.
Fair Board President
Dean Bruns offered up some opening remarks followed
by Lincoln Mayor Marty Neitzel. Then the large
scissors were handed over to the 2015 Miss Logan
County Fair Queen Lizzie Ford, and Little Miss Logan
County Preslee Sherrin, who snipped the ribbon.
Tuesday would be the last day of official activities
for the Queen and Little Miss, as on Tuesday night a
new pair of young ladies were crowned for the 2016
year.
