Reps Gym is on the move. Later this fall the popular workout location will be moving to a new home. The new address will be 711 Hickox Drive in Lincoln. Owners Chris and Jamie Beard are very excited about the new location, but don't look for them there for a while. The couple says it will take some time to get the building set up just the way they want it for their customers. So, for the meantime, it will be business as usual at their current location - 300 S. McLean Street, Lincoln.

For many folks the Summer Olympics garners a lot of interest as they enjoy watching the many talented athletes compete for the gold. However, at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln, the Olympics is more than watching television, it is an activity for the residents. This past week, the residents enjoyed playing along with some of the summer games, such as the javelin throw. Competitors lined up to test their skills throwing their javelins through the Olympic rings in the activity room at the Manor. The rings were handmade by Myrtle Heusing. Medalists at the Javelin Toss included Gold to Marie Ebelherr, Silver to Clara Johnson and Bronze to Juanita Houghtalin. In addition to the javelin throw, competitors also participated in a bean bag throw and a discus throw.
