“It’s been a long two weeks. He never said quit
coming in, and I didn’t ask,” said Freda Gibbs, of
the man who hired her, the late Ed Stahl.
Freda
Gibbs, who is pictured at her desk at Stahl’s
Furniture in late December, retired after working 54
years and 10 months for the Stahl family of Mount
Pulaski.
