Calling
all kids and pet parents! Once again
this year the Lincoln Park District and
the city of Lincoln Fire Department are
partnering to offer some great fun on
Wednesday, July 4th. The day will begin
at 10 a.m. with registration for the
Children's Walking Parade. The parade
permits kids to dress in their best
patriotic interpretation, decorate
bikes, and wagons and come out to Scully
Park for the beginning of the parade.
Also, skateboards and rollerblades will
also be permitted in the parade.
Dogs, on leash, are also welcome and
they too can "dress up" for the Fourth!
After the judging at 10:30 a.m. the
parade will proceed to the Lincoln Park
District Recreational Center, where
prizes will be awarded and the Lincoln
Fire Department will have one of their
big fire trucks set up to hose everyone
down!
Later there will be fun and games with
prizes at the LPD Aquatic Center and
fireworks in the evening! So don't leave
town this Fourth of July! There will
lots of fun right here!
