The
top story on the first day of November has to be the heavy wet snow
that covered the ground on Halloween day. More significantly for
some who follow the old wife's tales is that it was the 31st day of
the month. According to those old-time predictors, the date of the
first tracking snow will determine how many snows will come in the
season.
A few years ago, LDN counted the snows compared to the date of the
first tracking snow and it ended up being pretty accurate. Let's
hope that this is the year the theory will fail!
