Lincoln Daily News |
Today
we bring you the final three pictures from out Paint the
Paper Pink project for 2019. The photos include the staff of
CCAOnline and Lincoln Daily News as well as a snapshot taken
of the Abraham Lincoln Statue on the Logan County Courthouse
lawn with a pink bow tie.
Tomorrow the paper will no
longer be pink as we return to our regular templates and
colors. The month will be over, but the battle will not. |

Every day, women around the country will be diagnosed
with breast cancer. This year, it is estimated that more than
268,000 women and almost 3,000 men will hear those words that they
have breast cancer. This number doesn't include all the other
cancers out there and we shudder to think how large that number
would be if we compiled statistics from all 74 types of cancer. The
more we do, the greater the chance that someone we love and care
about will survive. Survival begins with early diagnosis, as we urge
everyone regardless of age, gender, or race, to be diligent in
taking care of themselves. We love you, we need you, and we want you
around for a very long time.
Thank you so much to the 1,501 people, 12 fur babies, one pink teddy
bear and one beloved statue for helping us get that message out this
year with your pink pictures.

At
the Earl and Ladonna Gass home at 600 North Street in Emden is a
spook-tacular sight to see.
The family has gone all out for Halloween with decorations including
ghosts, a gigantic spider, a scarecrow, the Headless Horsemen, the
grim reaper, several Jack-o-Lanterns, skeletons, a black cat, a yard
full of gravestones and cat’s eyes “peering” out from the front
window make it appear that the house is watching you.
