And of course, once those great fresh foods are
purchased, one wants to be able to maintain their
quality while being stored. Darlene Begolka was
on hand with her Tupperware products not only
offering items for sale, but also advice on how
to preserve food short-term in the refrigerator by
using food friendly containers.
Another vital part of good health that is often
overlooked is water. On hand Saturday were
representatives of the Logan County Health
Department who were offering testing of
well water. Those who use well water as a
consumable, need to keep an eye on the water
quality, and it is especially important to check for
nitrates that can leach through the soil and into
the water supply.
Symphony of Lincoln was also offering
immediate water refreshment to Expo attendees.
On their display, they had sat out free bottled
water for everyone, and also had compiled a
poster that discussed the why the body needs
water and how it benefits from regular hydration.
