Glass recycling collection
SPONSORS: Logan County Joint Solid Waste Agency, Lincoln Junior Woman's Club, Verallia Saint-Gobain Containers and the Logan County Fair Association
WHO: Open to the public
DETAILS: Accepting only container glass that originally contained either a food or beverage product. Clear glass as well as amber, green and blue will be accepted. Unacceptable items include ceramic pieces, dishware, light bulbs, fluorescent lights, window glass and mirrors. For safety reasons, no broken glass will be accepted.
Glass preparation: Rinse containers thoroughly. Remove any metal or plastic lids and rings from the container. Labels may be left on containers.
The agency reserves the right to refuse any glass not meeting preparation or recycling guidelines. Glass will be accepted only on designated collection dates. The Logan County Joint Solid Waste Agency does not accept glass at any of its recycling sites.
Collection will be canceled in case of inclement weather or excessive heat.

DETAILS: Join us for some fun family activities and educational opportunities in making your home safer. Home-related injuries results in nearly 21 million medical visits per year. Stop by and learn some simple steps to help keep your family safer. Air Evac team landing at 10 am. Free hot dog meals from noon to 1 pm. Free basic CPR and AED classes. Please call to preregister for these at 732-2212. Tours of the emergency vehicles and buildings. Home safety door prizes.
