Dave Schonauer, Lincoln area manager for Illinois American Water, speaks to a group of city officials and representatives Wednesday evening as he holds a photo of the original 1898 building of the Lincoln Water, Light and Power Co. The building had to be demolished to make room for the new $1,500,000 pumping station that was finished last year. Schonauer and other representatives from Illinois American Water were on hand to talk about the new station, what it will provide for the city of Lincoln and to offer tours of the new facility.  LDN will have more complete coverage of this in the Friday edition.
