conference as part of the disaster preparedness
drill held in Lincoln on Wednesday. At community
night on Thursday this week, Neitzel spoke about her
experience, saying that she was very well pleased
with the way it had gone. She noted that it is
comforting to her, for the sake of the city, to know
that if Lincoln should encounter a disaster,
everyone knows where to go, and how to quickly come
together as a working team to address the needs of
the people.

Tuesday evening, the Lincoln Youth Football players took
time out from a busy practice session to recognize their
outstanding coaches and volunteers. Coach Wesley Fuchs
spoke about each of the nominees for the Volunteer of
the year, then named Corinne White as this year's
recipient of the volunteer plaque. He then named the
three coaches who had been nominated and announced that
Jeff Robinson would be the Coach of the year for this
season. Left to right are Robinson, Fuchs and White.
