LDN -- Top Stories

At the Tuesday evening meeting of the Lincoln City Council aldermen bade a fond farewell to the Council Recording Secretary Risa Riggs. Riggs had announced last week that she would be resigning her position effective with the last meeting in February. In appreciation for her time of service, City Clerk Peggy Bateman presented Riggs with a gift from city government.

The council also announced they are seeking to hire a replacement for Riggs as quickly as possible. Aldermen reviewed the job description for the recording secretary position as well as the rate of pay for attending and recording the various city council meetings.
