June Emery
June I. Emery, 78, of Lincoln died Friday (Aug. 1, 2003) at 3:42
p.m. in the emergency room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Following cremation rites, a memorial service was at 7 p.m. Sunday
at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts
officiating. Visitation preceded the service.
Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs. Emery retired
from Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, where she had served as head
lab technician.
She was born June 30,
1925, in Red Wing, Minn., to Oscar and Edna Kullander Jacobson. She
married David W. Emery on March 13, 1958, in Lincoln.
She is survived by her
husband; one brother, Norman Jacobson of Corvallis, Ore.; one
sister, Alberta "Dolly" Olson of Red Wing, Minn.; and several
nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her parents and two brothers, Harris and Joe Jacobson.
She was one of the
original organizers of the Stardust Ball for ALMH. She was also
instrumental in starting the Emblem Club and the Elks Club of
Lincoln.
She was an avid
golfer, excellent cook and a Vikings fan.
In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lincoln,
Alzheimer's Foundation, eye research or the donor's choice.

'Larry' Sutton
William L. "Larry" Sutton, 56,
of Lake Fork died Sunday (Aug. 3, 2003) at 8:03 p.m. at St. John's
Hospital in Springfield.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski,
with Bill Shanle officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the
service.
Burial will be in Carlyle
Cemetery, Lake Fork.
Mr. Sutton was a self-employed
heating and cooling contractor.
He was born Aug. 18, 1946, in
Springfield to William Leon and Mary Frances Coats Sutton. He
married Carol S. Troyer on Oct. 5, 1986, at Lake Fork.
Surviving are his wife, of Lake
Fork; his mother, of Mount Pulaski; two daughters, Angela (and
Kevin) Smith of Springfield and Cindy (and Bill) Resinger of
Springfield; three sons, Nicholas Sutton of Lake Fork, Chris (and
Kim) White of Lincoln and Matthew White of Lincoln; and three
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
father.
He was a member of Lake Fork
Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Lake Fork
Christian Church.
