On Tuesday evening, the city of Lincoln city administrator Clay Johnson shared that arrangements have been made for aldermen to participate in a Strategic Workshop session at the Normal Intermodal Center in Normal. The workshop will be held from 5 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m. on Friday March 6th and from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday the 7th.

Thursday evening, "Flat Stanley" was a special guest at the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce After Hours at Shoe Sensation. For those who may not know, Flat Stanley is a children's book about a little boy who has an accident with a chalkboard. But he turns it into a good thing because he becomes small enough and thin enough to put himself in an envelope and mail himself to anyplace in the world that he would like to visit. Flat Stanley took part in the meet and greet and spent time with several guests including Chamber Director Nicole Cox and Mayor Keith Snyder of the city of Lincoln. Flat Stanley hales from Cloverdale, Indiana and is staying in Lincoln with his temporary guardian Marsha Darlington. After a three-week visit he will return to his full-time guardian, third-grader Carson Caulkins. When Flat Stanley gets home, Carson will give his classmates a report on Stanley's trip.
