There may be a few folks out there who are anxiously awaiting the winter weather. For members of the Lincoln Street Department crews however, the warm temperatures in October and thus far in November has paved the way for them to continue some of the city street projects such as replacement of several city sidewalks in residential areas. The city aldermen and mayor feel that this is answering a call from their constituents that the conditions of our streets and sidewalks need to be addressed sooner rather than later. This year the list of sidewalk repairs is larger than past years, and realignment of projects permitted the expansion of the street re-surfacing projects as well.

Lincoln Junior High School has selected its Students-of-the-Month for September and October. September’s students are sixth-grader Ryan O'Donoghue, seventh-grader Alex Hoffert, and eighth-grader Noah Stuckey.

The October Students-of-the-Month are sixth-grader Ema Samples, seventh-grader Ryen Stoltzenburg, and eighth-grader Jade Darlington.
