Today
we are featuring two photos in our "Show
us your pink" campaign. On the left is
the gang from the Lincoln Park District
Fit Zone, and on the right is staff from Graue Chevrolet. At first look, these
two groups may seem like an odd pairing,
but the Graue organization in 2015 was
recognized as a "Friend of the Park
District." At that time Jacki Pavlik,
Fitness Director, talked about the value
of having the Graue dealership as a
supporter of park district programs,
including the Fit Zone.
This goes to show that you can sometimes
be surprised by the people who step up
and become valuable friends. The same is
true when one is diagnosed with cancer
of any type. When you share your
illness, you'll be surprised how many
friends you have who will be willing to
step up and be there for you. Just like
the park district couldn't do what it
does without friends and supporters like
Graue, you cannot fight your battle
alone. Open the door, and let your
friends in, you'll be glad you did.
